ABSTRACT
We live in a world where our smartphone never leaves our side. It is our television, bank, calculator and it’s features are continuously expanding to encompass every aspect of our life. This research study analyzes whether there is a correlation between the organization and customization's of a person’s smartphone and their personality traits and/or demographics. The research is done by conducting an online survey that asks participants about their smartphone preferences, personality traits, and personal demographic information. An analysis is performed on the data to see if there is any correlation between the organization and configuration of the smartphone, and characteristics of the owner. The results concluded that there is no correlation between smartphone characteristics and personality traits. However other correlations exist between levels of customization performed on a smartphone and the owner’s demographics.
