Backend relational databases such as SQLite provide great storage and retrieval mechanisms for both web applications and desktop applications. Since, web applications can be very important for collecting and storing data from different users and web technology is especially important to teach students, this project was a web application with a relational database. The concept was based of a similar Java solution and aims to give students the opportunity to compare the use of relational databases in the different contexts and learn about different web application features in the new application.
