Find My Files is a solution that provides some peace of mind to laptop owners if their valuable device is ever stolen. Find My Files is a web application and a standalone client. Users register their computers to the web application and download a standalone client from the server for their device. The downloadable client is run on the user’s computer, which tethers itself to the Find My Files server. The user may interact with their device on the web application, where a collection of functions are at their disposal. The user may request a screenshot from their device, a webcam photo from the device, and can learn exactly where the device is located.
