Kotlin, a language with official support and backing from Google, is becoming more ubiquitous in the Android community. Currently, Java is the language used for teaching Android development in COMP 1601. However, Kotlin poses a possibility to become the future of Android development, as it provides features that target the shortcomings of Java. This project investigates the integration of Kotlin into the Android curriculum for COMP 1601.
