ABSTRACT
The goal of this project is to create an algorithm that simulates the yellow slime mold’s ability dynamically generate an efficient network between its many food sources. It is meant to be used as the basis for an empire AI in a strategy game. An AI based on a slime mold simulation would be able to dynamically react and expand realistically to changes in resource availability. It would make for an interesting strategy game where instead of controlling a nation from the top down, the player makes decisions that influence the shape and growth of a much stronger and complex empire in some way that benefits the player.
