ABSTRACT
The goal of this project is to create a 3D model of an object using images captured by a stereo camera. A depth map obtained from the two images is used as the basis of the model. After the model is generated, it is stored as a map of points in 3D space. Noise is removed and broken points are connected. Finally, this model is transformed into cube shaped blocks for integration with a Cube-shaped Robot simulation project. The resulting models formed by the project can be used for a variety of purposes including as a template for 3D printing, construction, block toys and more.
