BioSight allows viewing of human anatomy systems superimposed on a person standing in front of an iPad device. The aim is to facilitate teaching students about the interaction and function of organ systems within the human body. The prototype leveraged Apple’s ARKit API to place 3D medical information on a pose tracked target. The 3D meshes depicting human anatomy systems were modelled, rigged and skinned to allow accurate animation and deformation when the target moves their body.
