ABSTRACT
RTS Games have some of the widest skill variances in gaming genres. While for large populations, there exists ranking systems to create fair matches between players of equal skill, this is less feasable in games with lower populations and does not function for casual play between friends at all. A system that instead adjusts the game's mechanics and systems to account for the skill difference between players is an alternative solution for these situation. However, this calls into question what alterations can be made to the game without warping it beyond recognition, and while keeping the game enjoyable for both players. This project looks at what sort of changes are effective in creating a fair game between variant players without negatively affecting either player's experience.
