The Course Material Recommender is a web-based program that aims to improve the learning experience for both students and professors, by allowing students to search for information from a course and ask questions about the information. While other learning management systems include this information, they provide no convenient way to search for it. This results in students potentially missing information or asking repeat questions that the professor or teaching assistants then must answer again. The Course Material Recommender improves upon this by adding smart search functionality to all the content in a course including questions asked by previous students. Doing this improves the process of learning concepts as the Course Material Recommender removes the frustrating aspects for both parties involved.
