A problem that peoples today have is that very few have the motivation to get out and go do exercise. PetRunner is an application that is meant to track the user’s fitness status using a step counter and provide rewards in the form of in-game currency after every 1000 steps recorded by the device’s step sensor. By completing the goal of 1000 steps every time, the user is then able to give their pet a better home, by purchasing upgrades through the in-game shop. This lets the user give their pet decorations, either for their pet or their pet’s home. These decorations consist of things such as hats, paintings, etc. PetRunner has real-time map tracking for the user to see their path, a home for the pet, a shop, and an in-game currency.
