ABSTRACT
This is a project with the goal of testing and improving the musical hearing abilities of people. The project is a game inside of a website with 2 game modes, 1 focused on interval learning, and the other focused on scale discernment. The website also features a high score page and a user account to create a welcoming but competitive environment to encourage players to learn, push themselves, and have fun. The project was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle, beginning from the formation of the problem, designing models, implementing the designed concepts, and testing the final product to ensure it works properly. The final product was a successful website with 2 functioning games. A statistical analysis was performed and found that users both enjoyed the game and website, would return to play again, and saw some growth in their hearing abilities and their musical knowledge. The project is not perfect, and feedback was received and considered through player surveys. Given more time to work on this project, this feedback could guide the future direction of the work that needs to be done to improve the ability of the project to reach its goals successfully.
