ABSTRACT
This project aims to augment surgical training by leveraging a Large Language Model (LLM), like ChatGPT, to offer personalized, actionable feedback to participants during suturing tasks. Through a study involving 20 individuals, each completing multiple trials, the effectiveness of LLM feedback was assessed. While statistical significance in performance improvement wasn't observed between those receiving LLM feedback and those without, there was a notable difference in effect size, showcasing more significant improvement with consistent LLM guidance compared to no LLM guidance. This research underscores the viability of LLMs as valuable tools in enhancing surgical training, paving the way for their application in more complex surgical procedures.
