Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science (OCICS)

Students who wish to pursue graduate studies in computer science leading to the degree of Master of Computer Science (MCS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (PhD) can do so in joint programs offered by the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Ottawa and the School of Computer Science (SCS) at Carleton University under the auspices of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science (OCICS).
OCICS is a joint program between Carleton University and the University of Ottawa offering graduate degrees in Computer Science at the Masters and Doctoral levels.
The Institute is responsible for supervising these programs and providing a framework for interaction between the schools in graduate computer science education. In addition to the faculty members from the two computer science programs, the Institute also has members with computer science expertise from other departments.
